Who you riding with?

Not many posts recently as my riding life has been a bit ho-hum with my return to full-time work hours 😩😩😩

There are several Brisbane based bike groups using the SEQ Motorcycle Riders Meetup group – great idea as rides from 3-4 groups are all in one calendar, much easier to pick and choose which ride to go on.

Today I was our with SEQ and RiDe groups heading to Beaudesert > Boonah > Queen Mary Falls > Woodenbong ending at Rathdowney Hotel for lunch.

What a feckin’ GORGEOUS day for a blast. Cool morning and max temperature in the mid to high 20’s 👌🏽. Brisbane in Autumn through Spring is astoundingly good for riding weather! With hot and rainy Summers you get a solid 8-9 months of riding (and the other 3-4 if you don’t mind squidding it or sweating it out).

Missed the pre-meet at Jimboomba 😹 slept in so met up with the crew at Beaudesert. Headed to Boonah where we had our debrief and off we went.

I haven’t been Boonah along the Queen Mary Falls tourist drive before – pleasant, quiet, minimal other traffic. Some steep, narrow and windy bits however as a motorcyclist it’s more 😍 than 😒 like it is in a car haha.

Quite a long ride, nothing too dramatic except I would suggest where the road signs says “not suitable trucks buses and caravans” DON’T FUCKING TAKE YOUR FILTHY CARAVAN ALONG THAT ROAD!!! The arrogance of it. No drama for a bike however if I had been in a car coming the opposite way, that is not gonna be a good time for anyone.

Now that I have experienced the power of G-Force (yeah, still calling her that until further notice) the CBR seems grossly inadequate LOL. Not a disaster just need to change up and down gears a lot on uphill corners + patiently wait for my speed to increase to pre-corner level. Is that even how you explain it??????

Queen Mary Falls picnic area is pleasant – flushing toilets, large picnic area, store across the road at the campgrounds, plenty of parking and a cool af stump for pics 😬

I didn’t make the short trek to see the falls themselves because I want to go back with Spence and do it together. Was also a bit hotter by the time I got there lol. The roads on from there (heading towards Woodenbong) were rather bumpy.

At Woodenbong I asked some of the men folk how their balls were since my vagina felt like a smashed avo lolololol #TrueStory

Onto Rathdowney Hotel for lunch, saw some excellent photo ops along the way and spectacular *potential* ones up closer to Mount Lindsay itself. Decent lunch at Rathdowney Hotel and very reasonably priced. Suggest taking cash as there is no EFTPOS although there is an ATM on site if needed.

Super chill ride home after lunch, as always a great bunch of people although some of the main culprits were MIA 😂😂😂 for a decent size group of 35-40 was a great day to be out and about finding new places I haven’t been before.
