Are you serious about vlogging?

In short – no. Today I did a naughty thing as my annual bonus was paid this week. I purchased the GoPro 7 Black *ooohhhh aaahhhh*. That is $489 I will never see again lol.

But wow it is a camera and a half. Also was on special down from $599 so not all bad news and the salesman gave us 20% off accessories so scored a helmet mount as well. Thrifty but sucked in.

The things I’m gonna do with it!!!!!!! I have loads of ideas, most of them fucking stupid and lame ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ but piss off I do what I want for my own entertainment not necessarily for the enjoyment of others (kind of like this barely read blog LOL).

This blog has always been and will always be a non-monetary fixture in my riding life for my memories and journey only no one else’s. Mr is along for the journey however it is wholly my own or is at least right now and for the foreseeable future.

I don’t review free / sponsored products. I only review what I have personally purchased and use in my day to day riding.

The capabilities of the 7 black are phenomenal. Every review states this is THEE camera to have for whatever purpose and comes with a full suite of features. I have another cheapo camera I was using but the sound is shit and you can’t reallllyyyy hear all my swearing and general bitch hole-ness. And it’s the best part. Cos we all know my singing isn’t #FuckenLol

Mr also bought one so will be interesting to see how I fit into his riding vids and we have a few ideas of some to do together. Rando short clips, nothing fancy, not Oscar cinematography winner.

Also found another use: Mr’s dad had a stroke last year and has early stages dementia ๐Ÿ˜ข I adore my in-laws (I’m very lucky, I know!) and it’s very sad. A while ago one of the nephews asked for some photos of Mr, the kids and I to put into a slideshow to try and help him jog his memory.

I don’t know if that was ever done but now Minister Of Dark Arts aka MODA the GP7, (**SO WHAT IF I GIVE EVERYTHING A NAME AND SOMETIMES HAS A HARRY POTTER REFERENCE?***) will be a tool we use to make my father-in-law a DVD to watch even if it’s just boring stuff in our lives.

Connecting any way we can given we have lived in Oz for over 10 years now and my kids are very close to their grandies.

I will keep you updated on my MODA antics. I dunno what will come from it … first time using it I went straight up my nostrils view so clearly I can’t be trusted.

I don’t think WordPress lets you post video content so will add what I can to Insta and might think about a YouTube channel if things get out of control. It’s me so generally always that risk ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ.

MODA review pending once I figure out how to use it properly.

How long now?

Have not been out riding anywhere except work. Why? I lost the only key i had for the CBR500 about a month ago.

Was initially quoted $300 for three keys to be made by a mobile locksmith. Unfortunately, the Honda HISS system that prevents my bike from being stolen also means a large outlay for a replacement coded key ๐Ÿ™

I didn’t want to quote on insurance but after two weeks of calling Ipswich Police and scouring the Ipswich FB pages for a found key, Mr called the locksmith to replace it.

When he was quoted $700 + labour + transport to the key place. I decided to go with the insurance excess option for $400. Not ideal but by far the cheapest upfront.

Bike was collected 2 Friday’s ago and been waiting ever since. They have to await parts, last update the cost was heading for $1300 ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ so the $400 excess does not see as bad now.

Soooooo in the meantime I have been riding the GSXR1000. Oh. My. Lord. I love this bike. Do I think I will ever get used to the power? No. Do I think I will ever be able to control myself with that power? Also no.

I’ve had a few little races on it ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ blitzed a Z1000 and an MT10. Pissed off many cars and shown a handful of LAMS bikes who the big girl is. But alas, I don’t want to go on any rides and push my luck. It’s not my time yet and I eagerly look forward to having Lil Boop back under me soon!

Funny story: I told Mr that I have never seen anyone from work while I’ve been commuting. He had actually called the previous owner to ask if he had another key there (he didn’t) which would have been easier and cheaper to clone than get a whole new set.

The funny part is the previous owners wife answered the phone and said her husband who is a truck driver sees me all the time in the mornings going to work. How strange! Sadly the previous owner has upgraded to bigger bike but crashed it and wasn’t allowed to get another one so he had to watch me tearing around on his old bike.

Awwww it kinda makes me smile to think he is seeing his old bike even though I have no idea who he is or what truck he is in watching me! I know I will be slightly sad when the time comes to move to G-Force permanently. Despite being on a faster much more powerful litre bike the fun and learning on my first motorcycle love is not forgotten.

Suggested uses for Little Boop when I move to the GSXR exclusively. 1. Paint in mermaid colours for a bit of a hoot. 2. Keep as a commuter for Mr & I to keep the kms down on our GSXRs. 3. Sell it and cry ๐Ÿ˜ข 4. Turn it into a project bike.

Mermaid idea 1
Mermaid idea 2

The cost of rego, tyres, insurance, etc on it would probably lead me to sell. The kms are a bit high now 60k+. There are more than a couple of scrapes. Now that I’ve been riding G-Force for nearly a month it might not be ‘enough’ for me even as a commuter.

TBC I’m in no hurry to decide.

Whoโ€™s that up front?

On the group ride with Spence and our daughter, Ashley, pillion today ๐Ÿ˜

Starting Boronia Heights > Greenbank > Marburg > Atkinson’s Dam > Esk for brunch > Kilcoy > Woodford > Mt Mee > Dayboro pub for a coldie > home via The Gap

Long day again (group rides are usually the better part of a day) but makes all the difference when Spence/Ashley are there to chat to. Sometimes I just want a mate to ride with and seems like everyone has a bestie except me ๐Ÿ˜• my bestie is at home sleeping as he is a shift worker that works weekends so generally I let him rest. And group rides are not necessarily his scene I get that too so I love it all the more when he puts sleep on the back burner for my sake.

What I love about group rides:

1. You get multiple opinions on bikes, performance, accessories, parts and servicing.

2. Hearing all the stupid ass stories ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

3. Even though you spend parts of the day gas bagging it’s mostly riding, riding and for something different … more riding

4. The bikes. Up close and personal you can ask the owner questions to decide if this might be a bike for you in the future. If you’re lucky you can even swap bikes. That doesn’t apply to me I’m too short for most bikes #Feck or you can secretly lust from afar << me when I saw a Tuono ๐Ÿฅฐ

5. Being out and about. Sometimes you find new roads. Sometimes you visit old favourites. It’s never a bad time.

6. Sharing your love of riding with others who love riding. It can be hard talking to non-riders about your motorcycle life. They think you’re nuts, talking another language or just zone out.

7. Making the most of QLD weather. We are pretty fucking spoiled! I heard Kevin on MC Rider (YouTube) talk about ‘riding season’. Can’t relate. All year round is riding season in SEQ, blessed as shit for reals.

8. Avoid housework LOL cannot tell you how many times I *should* have been cleaning the house and just thought fuck it I’m out. This weekend I cleaned Saturday for guilt free riding Sunday ๐Ÿ˜š

9. Meeting new peeps. It can be very hard to make friends outside of work or a sports club in Brisbane. Not sure why and I’m not the first Kiwi to say this. People are nice enough so not sure why this is. Just is. I have felt quite welcome in bike groups though.

10. When a car is trying to pull out from a street / driveway and has to wait for 30+ bikes to go past ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ I might be an arsehole by including this or laughing at it but meh don’t care, never pretended I was a good person.

Great ride today, no corner markers or Tail End Charlie (unless you count the dude on the KTM200 who by default is TEC) which is my preferred option. Only lost sight of the group once and took a punt which direction to go in hahahahaha. Having one of the slower bikes on group rides, it happens, you have a guess, might be right, might not, can always GPS your ass home if needed ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

The group I went out with is probably my favourite … couple of the usual suspects missing due to work or other commitments however still a good day with the crew. Had company most of the way home due to being North of home and most in the group being Southsiders.

Would ride again, 5 stars on Trip Advisor โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ

Why so butt hurt?

Arrgghhh so sick of macho men trying to show me how big their ballsacks are ๐Ÿ™„ do not give two shits mate, ride your own ride.

As the approach to riding the GXR approaches, it will only get worse after that.

They don’t like it when I win at the lights. They don’t like it when THEY win at the lights but I end up in front cos I’m Filter Kween of the (My) Universe. They don’t like it when my traffic read is spot on. They don’t like it when I overtake them whether at speed or not, cheeky or not.

So basically the precious things don’t like this upstart ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ and will make a fucking song and dance about ensuring I receive the message loud and clear.

Men folk: I’m not competing with you in a highly male focused hobby. You have all the riding gear options. All the manly looking bikes. The majority gender on pretty much any group ride. I’m just a fat chick on a LAMS bike lol. Calm tf down and worry about yourself.

I previously wrote about a FB post I put up re: Mr Movistar Wheelie Pants. Got the typical male fuckdicks calling me up myself, sook, blah blah blah. Only put blah blah blah cos I don’t give af right back at them.

They see me at the lights (on their bikes and in their cars) and do the creep so I know they wanna race me or they think they’ll beat me. Doesn’t happen with women riders. It’s like “heyyyyy helloooooo you’re one of usssssss” ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ and my track record off the mark is not to shabby for a lil biarch ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

I’m happy being a motorcyclist, a female motorcyclist and a female motorcyclist that can mostly hold her own / keep up as needed. I would LOVE to hoon around all the time whatever speed I wanted *90 in a 60 zone and 150 in a 100 zone would be ideal* and when I don’t it’s not for fear or lack of ability. It’s because I enjoy having the freedom a drivers licence provides ๐Ÿ˜‹

If ya see the little fatty on her red bike out and about, say hi or not just don’t think I have any other plan except what I’m doing. Maybe do the same for yourself otherwise feel like the big hero blitzing past #NotLikeItsHard

What did you learn?

First time taking any type of rider training course today via Motorcycle Life who offer a free course for locals that is funded / supported by QPS and the council.

Start time of 8am means an early start from Forest Lake. Had my stinkin’ arsehole of a period ๐Ÿ˜ซ something men will not understand how sorta squishy that can be on a motorcycle ๐Ÿ˜ง๐Ÿ˜ง๐Ÿ˜ง๐Ÿ˜ง๐Ÿ˜ง๐Ÿ˜ง๐Ÿ˜ง๐Ÿ˜ง sorry any males reading but this is another aspect of female riding and I’m prone to oversharing. And no not all women use tampons all the time and don’t even mention the menstrual cup #JustNo

Friendly greeting from the main trainer Steve and his lovely wife who organised tea/coffee and hot cross buns ๐Ÿฅฐ we like Christine! Met a few of the other participants before it was time to get underway.

Probably couple of hours theory on motorcycle road statistics and a chat from QPS former bike cop Peter and a current bike cop Ian. I’m sure they see the worst of the worst on our roads and as partners to the programme great to hear from them and get another perspective.

One thing on the QPS talk by Peter the subject of filtering / using the shoulder came up. According to Peter you can’t filter in roadworks.

Now woah to the woah I am The Filter Kween and have read the rules many, many times on this. I filter every time I’m on the bike – suburbia, motorways, peak hour and traffic lights. I love it. It’s my main riding skill. Of course I’m going to check and double check the rules on it. Excerpt below from TMR – note how the shoulder specifically mentions road works and filtering does not.

Further to this I often get in shit fights on Facebook about the matter ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚. Below convo (note I have met Keith a couple of times on rides, lovely bloke to talk to!) that is typical of the interactions. Don’t get into a fight with me, it’s one thing I do know very well both rules and technique wise. The argument for road worker safety is not one I’ve seen before but did make me

I get the impression police and facilitators are not fans of filtering even when done lawfully. For me it’s not unsafe and saves a fuck of a lot of time as well as risk getting run up the arse from cars in slow/stopped traffic but that’s my take on it. Moral of the story: I would probably need to whip out my phone on the spot to show a police officer I wasn’t actually doing anything unlawful lol.

Anyway back to the course. Rode to Beechmont via Canungra and back up over the goat track at Tambo to the training venue. A long day and the main take aways I got were this.

1. Motorcycles are 5% of all road users yet are involved in 27% of all accidents … 65% of those being single vehicle so can’t even blame it all on the cagers. I need to follow up with Steve on the statistics for something else I’m theorising on.

2. Enter the corner wide, stay on the outside of the bend until you can see the exit point and then start to turn in to finish tight. I have done a fair bit of riding over the last 2 years and often run wide which I know now is related to when I start to turn in. Simple turning point theory yet this has escaped me until today as I have been using car cornering theory given I have nearly 30 years of that!

While the course is probably better suited to newer riders (L or fresh RE’s) we had one lady with 30 years experience, an L plater and several Open RE and R licence holders. You can never know everything and even if you think you do, a refresher is never a bad idea nor are 2 more contacts in your riding network.

Stay safe out there, whether that is using commonsense or skills you learned on a akills course – the goal is making it home to our family and friends.

Who you riding with?

Not many posts recently as my riding life has been a bit ho-hum with my return to full-time work hours ๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

There are several Brisbane based bike groups using the SEQ Motorcycle Riders Meetup group – great idea as rides from 3-4 groups are all in one calendar, much easier to pick and choose which ride to go on.

Today I was our with SEQ and RiDe groups heading to Beaudesert > Boonah > Queen Mary Falls > Woodenbong ending at Rathdowney Hotel for lunch.

What a feckin’ GORGEOUS day for a blast. Cool morning and max temperature in the mid to high 20’s ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿฝ. Brisbane in Autumn through Spring is astoundingly good for riding weather! With hot and rainy Summers you get a solid 8-9 months of riding (and the other 3-4 if you don’t mind squidding it or sweating it out).

Missed the pre-meet at Jimboomba ๐Ÿ˜น slept in so met up with the crew at Beaudesert. Headed to Boonah where we had our debrief and off we went.

I haven’t been Boonah along the Queen Mary Falls tourist drive before – pleasant, quiet, minimal other traffic. Some steep, narrow and windy bits however as a motorcyclist it’s more ๐Ÿ˜ than ๐Ÿ˜’ like it is in a car haha.

Quite a long ride, nothing too dramatic except I would suggest where the road signs says “not suitable trucks buses and caravans” DON’T FUCKING TAKE YOUR FILTHY CARAVAN ALONG THAT ROAD!!! The arrogance of it. No drama for a bike however if I had been in a car coming the opposite way, that is not gonna be a good time for anyone.

Now that I have experienced the power of G-Force (yeah, still calling her that until further notice) the CBR seems grossly inadequate LOL. Not a disaster just need to change up and down gears a lot on uphill corners + patiently wait for my speed to increase to pre-corner level. Is that even how you explain it??????

Queen Mary Falls picnic area is pleasant – flushing toilets, large picnic area, store across the road at the campgrounds, plenty of parking and a cool af stump for pics ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

I didn’t make the short trek to see the falls themselves because I want to go back with Spence and do it together. Was also a bit hotter by the time I got there lol. The roads on from there (heading towards Woodenbong) were rather bumpy.

At Woodenbong I asked some of the men folk how their balls were since my vagina felt like a smashed avo lolololol #TrueStory

Onto Rathdowney Hotel for lunch, saw some excellent photo ops along the way and spectacular *potential* ones up closer to Mount Lindsay itself. Decent lunch at Rathdowney Hotel and very reasonably priced. Suggest taking cash as there is no EFTPOS although there is an ATM on site if needed.

Super chill ride home after lunch, as always a great bunch of people although some of the main culprits were MIA ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ for a decent size group of 35-40 was a great day to be out and about finding new places I haven’t been before.

QMF carpark

Who stopped the rain?

Not fucking Credence Clearwater Revival cos it’s been a few wet days in Brisbane!

Not one to be easily deterred ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ with one week of forecasted rain, Mr & I went for a tiki tour around Brisbane for some special interest shots of the bikes. Took Little Boop as I feel my luck with ‘G-Force’ (shuddup, that’s the name until I can think of something better) would run out and I would 1. Get busted riding her when I shouldn’t be and 2. End up walking home as a result of point 1 with a fat fine in my pocket and having to wait longer to sit my R licence ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Ended up at the Bhuddist temple in Underwood, Old Cleveland Lighthouse and a random wall on the side of a brownie shop in Bowen Hills. I dunno where I find this shit, it finds me! Not an overly long day out as rain was threatening to piss down just as we reached home.

Today, putting on my brave pants again to ride G-Force (shuddup shuddup shuddup!), we went for a quick scoot down the Logan Mway to Helensvale to see my Uncle. He wasn’t home so chatted with my first cousin Luke for a bit.

The pleasure of riding G-Force is addictive. I know I shouldn’t. But I do. And I love it. And it makes July seem so far away.

The licensing system is a bit of a giant turd really. I don’t know who gave the recommendations to change the flow of obtaining a motorcycle licence but it sucks balls. Big, hairy, oversized, unwashed balls.

Pre Oct 2016

Learner – online or in person, answer 30 questions and pay $30

RE – can do the RE course at any time after getting your L’s. 1 day RE course. 1 year on RE before you can take a pillion. 1 year on RE before you can ride a non-LAMS motorcycle with an L plate and a supervisor.

R – held your RE for at least 1 year. Once you get your R cannot take pillion for 1 year

Post Oct 2016

Learner – 2 day pre learner course (approx $400)

RE – held your L for at least 3 months. 1 day RE course. 1 year on RE before you can take a pillion. 2 years on RE before you can ride a non-LAMS motorcycle with an L plate and a supervisor.

R – held your RE for at least 2 years. Can take a pillion as soon as you have your R licence

2 years is like an eternity. The knowledge and skill I had at 6 months on my RE was sufficient. I learnt a lot and would have been 100% confident going to an R motorcycle by the 1 year stage. Just takes so long and costs so much more to get your licence.

I suspect the course providers were expecting a massive flood of cash however by all reports, motorcycle sales and the number of people getting their licence have dropped right off. All good intentions for RE riders to get much some road experience but this should also be at the L stage.

My preference – get your L’s, ride for at least 3 months getting a minimum of 25 hours road time registered in a log book similar to car learner drivers. If you had not done 25 hours by the time you sit your RE (by fudging the log book) this would be highly apparent on your RE course. You should have a reasonable level of competence to be assessed on by then.

I don’t want to be riding around with incompetent people hiding behind no L plate after sneaking through the RE programme ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ we have to share the road with these unproven riders! Just my thoughts based on my experiences and those of other Learner / RE riders I have spoken to.

Now where you off to?

Another days annual leave, another ride.

Took the GSXR-1K out yesterday on a run up Mt Nebo, Mt Glorious and home via Fernvale / Warrego Highway.

The thing about this run is you never get bored of it. Beautiful turns, areas for silly buggers and the cool mountain temp under the trees.

Being only the 3rd time riding it, I didn’t go fucking mental LOL – chill ride, letting the shit head on a grom and whoever else wanted to breeze past. I’m in no rush today guys.

Stopped in the shade to take a pretty pic of ‘The Girls’ while I love the look of both bikes I flip flop between preference for my blue/white and Mr’s matte black.

Both look and sound amazing, hard to pick a favourite as they each have their pros. Perhaps I like mine better since it’s slightly newer, Brembo brakes and loving on the blue accents (spools, braided brake lines, reflector wheel tape and brake fluid reservoir). Oh, and it’s mine haha.

Things like top speed and low down torque is not really what I’m looking for since at the top end of those scales I will likely never use to full capacity anyway ๐Ÿ˜‚ #PussyGirl

Great to get out on a longer ride. Was sad to see a couple of Kwaka’s pulled over by an undercover cop car heading to Fernvale (in one of the roadworks sections). Don’t know if busted in the 40km/h zone and pulled over just out of it but I was just winding up to hoof it after the road works when I saw the flashing lights ๐Ÿ˜… the sound burrrrrrrrhhhh as you decelerate in a hurry HAHAHA nothing better (well ok everything single thing is better than this!).

Not a lot of other traffic on the road. Absolute best time to go cruising ๐Ÿฅณ.

Very. Bloody. Hot. Crawled into BP just as we got onto the Warrego Highway. Felt very dehydrated and hungry having passed up stopping at Fernvale Bakery earlier for food/drinks. Used the bathroom at BP but almost threw up and fainted in there.

Emptied a 1 litre Maximus fairly quickly and had a bite of Mr’s sausage roll as feeling woozy. Not ideal condition to be riding but highlights the need to stay hydrated if you are feeling hot or sweating a lot. Tick to both. Should have stayed at the servo a bit longer to let the electrolytes do their thing but elected to head home and into the aircon as soon as I could.

Coasted home on the motorway. A fun ride on the new bike now firmly under my belt. I can already see myself being more of a demon once I get fully comfortable on her. Can’t wait for more adventures.

There were times today lined up at the lights with a bunch of other bikes I felt like I was “one of the boys” with the oomph to keep up if needed. Look out on the line in future fellas, this lil bitch gonna bring her A game ๐Ÿ˜œ

Have you been out again?

Two posts in 2 days. Definitely annual leave time!

Long as fucking day haha. Started with a trip to AMA Warehouse in Yatala – which is the complete opposite direction we intended to head (south-west) but don’t all the best rides start like that???

Hot as hell too ๐Ÿ˜“ up to 33.2 at our final destination so a day of hot hairdryer action and sweaty butt crack outlines on the bike seat #Eww

Took feckin ages to get from Yatala over to Boonah, home being approx 1 hour from Boonah normally. Stopped at BP Boonah hoping for some food. Nothing. Also a bunch of Harley riders bullied their way to the pumps.

We had already filled up and were moving our bikes so the cars waiting patiently behind could use the pumps while we had a drink. Bunch of rude twats just muscled their way in and around the cars. You’re so tough guys, I hope your penises feel MASSIVE now … handy for jerking each other off I can only assume based on that display.

Stopped in Warwick for a feed at Hungry Jacks. Ahhh the aircon was set to ‘ice’ and made the table freeze too … if I could get my face on the grotty table top I would have lol. Knowing we only had 60kms to get to Stanthorpe ๐Ÿ˜ป

Made it, took our pics of the big apple and the big thermometer and pissed off home.

Cop alerts: heading into Stanthorpe the local cop was pulling in near the big apple while we were going probably a smidge over the limit ๐Ÿ‘€ a smidge I say!

Then again leaving Warwick, Mr was hauling arse overtaking someone and I was trying to follow but the dickhead with an L plate on sped up and pushed me into overtaking in the ‘no overtaking’ part as a cop was coming the other way. Must have been in the too hard basket he didn’t follow for either of us (Mr Speedy or Miss Illegal Overtaking hahahahaha). Phew!

Then another cop of the straights between Warwick and Aratula. Both of us slightly speeding and drop right off the throttle when we saw the cop car. Bloody heck I’m sure there is a lesson in doing the right thing at all times just in case ๐Ÿ˜

The roads though are long and straight with no form of entertainment at all. Literally direct roads to next town. Also Cunningham’s Gap … better heading towards Warwick than towards Brisbane but still a lovely clip of road with an overtaking lane to rival Murwillumbah, perhaps road service not as nice but the seemingly endless corners were gorgeous. Eighty Schmeighty. They deserve more and I obliged where I could. Other parts of the roads (just out of Aratula) I enjoyed watching Mr get airborne. And when I say airborne not his wheels … his bum off the seat ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

If I had more time we could have stopped at some picturesque areas and I note Queen Mary Falls is out that way as well as Morgan Park ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ. Great for a longish day out.

Off for a nap now, body was absolutely pounded today and eyes are heavy. Even though stuffed, so worth the day out! 4.3 stars on NatAdvisor.com ๐Ÿ˜‹

Where you going on leave?

Yayyyyyyy Mr & I are on annual leave from work for next couple weeks. So what does one plan for such occasions? Why, riding of course!

If I can make it out on the bike every second day then I’m succeeding at life haha. Today we rode from Forest Lake to Blackbutt (approx 2 hours) for the sole purpose of taking the below photo ๐Ÿ˜œ

You do what you want on your leave and I will do what I want LOL.

Also we finally got a photo of this little field we always pass between Samford and Dayboro but there is not space on the road for stopping. A friend of mines daughter is dating the guy whose family owns that land so I sorta know who they are. I just like the rows of plantings very Tuscan looking background.

I’m hoping to take my new bike out, the GSXR-1000 (didn’t today). Have been around the big block and to the local mall for a bit of a blast. Wow-wee I see myself getting into a LOT of trouble on it ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ hopefully my licence survives the ensuing naughtiness that is sure to be undertaken.

So much more power and stomach curdling fun to be had. The trip from 100 to 170 is nearly instant hence my concern for demerit points. It’s registered under Mr so he can afford a few naughties ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ seeing as I’m carrying a few of his against the car that’s registered to me!

As expected, the minute I tried the Gixxa I knew what I was missing and boy do I miss not having it when riding Lil Boop. I still love my CBR500 and certainly getting back into it after the Gixxa it was like a comfortable old friend. I understand now why Mr says it’s like a little toy. It really is once you’ve gone big!

I feel like I will not lose to any cars and most bikes at the lights now. Bring them all on heh heh. See what I mean about trouble I see myself getting in?????

Anyway, back to today’s ride. Dropped daughter off at work in the city and headed to The Gap BP to fill up. Turned right to head towards Ferny Grove / Samford instead of going up Nebo and Glorious as it was drizzling earlier and I’m not confident on a wet or damp road. Sweet run out to Dayboro and over Mt Mee. No popo ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™€๏ธand not a lot of car traffic either. Saw zero bikes and took it easy on the hotmix due to residual damp patches.

Stopped at Kilcoy for fuel (body and bike) then headed out to Blackbutt which seems to be the most popular stock truck route cos it was effluent smells and stains all the fucking way there ๐Ÿคข๐Ÿคข๐Ÿคข as well as some very shit roadworks ๐Ÿ™„ long delays and power hungry lollipop holding traffic controllers.

Made it to Blackbutt and took our photos. Highway patrol rolled past while we there taking selfies and stuff, probably thinking oh look townies taking photos under the sign how original bahaha.

Came back and turned down Brisbane Valley Highway for lunch at Esk Hotel. Not too bad, really big shade seating area out back and food reasonably priced and tasty.

Hauled arse over Wivenhoe Dam and down the Warrego Highway home again. Shoulders: aching. Legs: aching. Eyes: droopy. Belly: full. Another successful day out ahhhh sleep will come easily tonight ๐Ÿ˜ด
